How much West Ham's final day clash with Watford might be worth to club's bank account

West Ham could be set to pocket a signigicant £6m windfall should they beat Watford on Sunday afternoon and other results go their way on the Premier League's final day.

Vice versa, the Hammers could also lose out on £6m should the worst happen at Vicarage Road and elsewhere around the country.

That £6m figure is the difference between Manuel Pellegrini's side finishing between 9th and 12th in the table, which is worth around £1.9m per spot.

Pellegrini's men head into the game in 11th place and a victory over Javi Gracia's team could see the team finish the season in 9th should they pick up three points, taking their final tally to 51, and Leicester City get nothing from their final game.

West Ham in negotiations to bring Lazio to London Stadium for pre-season friendly

They were beaten by Manchester City at the Etihad on Monday night and this weekend, host Chelsea at the King Power and if Brendan Rodgers' side lose again and West Ham win at Vicarage Road, the Hammers could take that ninth place at the death.

Should the Hammers lose to Watford on Sunday though and Crystal Palace pick up three points against Bournemouth then Pellegrini's men could finish the campaign in 12th which would be an improvement of just one place on last season's finish when David Moyes steered the cli8b to safety.

West Ham captain Mark Noble aims brilliant dig at Spurs when reflecting on season

West Ham, despite being away from home where they have really struggled in 2019, might be slight odds-on to get the win with Watford having an FA Cup final clash against Man City to prepare for just five days later at Wembley.

The Hornets got the better of the Hammers at London Stadium earlier this season, winning 2-0 in Stratford thanks to a Troy Deeney penalty and Gerard Deulofeu's 87th minute strike.
