With jetting off into the sun not an option for many of us at the moment, more and more families are opting for UK holidays this summer.
Sefton's 22 miles of coast, attractions, sandy beaches and nature reserves make Southport the perfect place for a staycation.
But as most of us have had the same idea, the costs of holidays closer to home have soared.
