How Much Richer Suze Orman Has Gotten Over the Last 5 Years

Personal finance expert Suze Orman has a wealth of accolades. According to her website, she’s a No. 1 New York Times bestselling author, has won eight Gracie awards and, as a motivational speaker, speaks to over 100,000 people in the United States every year.

She’s become a trusted name for financial advice and insight and a household name. Given her successful career and her deep understanding of finance, Orman has also amassed an impressive net worth.

Suze Orman’s Net Worth Today

Estimates put Orman’s net worth in 2025 at approximately $75 million, and a large portion of that worth can likely be credited to her professional success. Orman began her career as a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch and later became a financial advisor.

According to her website, she launched “The Suze Orman Show” on radio in 2001. She made numerous appearances on shows like ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “Larry King Live,” the “Oprah Winfrey Show” and NBC’s “Today” show. “The Suze Orman Show” aired on CNBC for 13 years, and today Orman operates the “Women & Money Podcast.”

She also has over 25 million books in circulation.

How Orman’s Wealth Has Grown

Orman is private about her wealth and her net worth, and exact data on her wealth increase over the last five years isn’t available. Looking at her financial practices and her success can provide an idea of how her wealth has increased, though.

Orman Practices What She Preaches

Orman recommends a responsible and cautious approach to personal finance, encouraging her audience to focus on eliminating debt, building a large emergency fund and living below their means. She also encourages her audience to prioritize saving for retirement and to strategically and carefully invest to maximize their long-term wealth and financial security.

Those are principles that Orman, herself, follows. According to a SF Gate article from 1999, Orman has a down-to-earth approach when it comes to spending. Though she was already enjoying financial success when the article was written, she was still living in a modest home and loved to eat at diners and fast food chains. Her publicist, Richard Aulette, said that Orman was “very real” and wouldn’t be seen jumping into limousines.

It Orman still follows that conservative approach to spending, then chances are she’s able to significantly increase her wealth, even over a five-year period.

The Growth of the Women and Money Podcast

Orman launched her “Women and Money” podcast in 2018, and it’s been highly successful. While podcast audience data isn’t public, the podcast has a 4.8- out of 5-star rating on Rephonic, based on 4,800 ratings. Orman also publishes her podcasts to her YouTube channel, where she has 114,000 subscribers.

Chances are Orman has a significant audience, and as that audience grows, she’s able to earn more from her podcast.

Annuity Interest

Orman also described an annuity strategy that earns her money on interest every year. In the 1980s, Orman set up a $700 recurring charge on her American Express charge to fund an annuity, which offered a guaranteed 5% return. She’s been making that automated contribution for four decades, and that annuity has earned her $705,000 in interest.

In addition to this investment and earning strategy, Orman likely is putting her financial smarts to use in other ways, such as investing, to increase her net worth every year. It’s impossible to determine just how much Orman has earned over the past five years, but she appears to be doing very well.
