The Football Association has published the annual figures of agent and intermediary fees paid by Championship clubs, covering February 1st 2019 to January 31st 2020.
The information represents all intermediary and agent fees paid by clubs via the FA’s clearing account - and reveals that Stoke City have the highest value of £5.68m.
Swansea City were the only other side to have paid over £5m in the period, with Fulham and Leeds United both exceeding £4m while Cardiff City and Brentford’s figures were in excess of £3m.
The remaining clubs in the Championship all paid below £3m in the period and, with figures that display the vast differences in budgets across the division, the lowest figure was Luton Town’s £298k.
Charlton Athletic, Barnsley, Millwall and Hull City all paid less than £1m, with the latter pair the only two sides who did not change division during the period.
In total, £49.29m was paid by Championship clubs to intermediaries and agents in the aforementioned period - compared to £263m in the Premier League, with the figure in the top-flight being over five times higher.
Meanwhile, League One clubs paid £3.921m in the same period, a figure less than four clubs in the Championship individually - Stoke, Swansea, Fulham and Leeds United.
In League Two, the figure was £1.170m and was exceeded by 18 Championship clubs individually, while the National League payments accounted for just £319k.
