The incredible era Jose Mourinho oversaw at Chelsea between 2004 and 2006 now seems a long time ago, but the self-proclaimed 'special one' has still found opportunities with Manchester United and Tottenham come his way in recent years.
He can now be found struggling in Serie A with Roma, most recently suffering a 3-2 defeat to Venezia. In fact, Mourinho has won just one of his past seven matches, a run that included a 6-1 loss to Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League.
Since his final Premier League success with Chelsea in the 2014-15 campaign, the Portuguese has been desperately trying to rediscover his golden touch.
A Carabao Cup and Europa League triumph with Manchester United was the best he could manage, however, with his spell as Tottenham boss culminating in nothing at all.
But it has been the most profitable period of the manager's career.
A study by 101 Great Goals has found that Mourinho has been paid £97,674,480 in the last 10 years, over £50million more than Mauricio Pochettino who sits in second.
The figures include total wages paid to managers while in a job as well as any pay out received after being sacked. With Mourinho being dumped by Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs in the last 10 years, a large slice of his income will have come from this.
Coincidentally, the three clubs have also been found to be the most wasteful when it comes to hiring managers.
Spurs, who have sacked three managers in the past 10 years, are the biggest culprits. Daniel Levy and co. have splashed over £85million on Pochettino, Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo - all three of whom were sacked and received pay-outs.
West Ham take the crown for worst value individual appointment, however, having paid Manuel Pellegrini £622,146 per win in his time at the London Stadium.
