The final of the PDC World Darts Championship takes place on Tuesday, with Michael Smith hoping to win the title for the first time against Michael van Gerwen.
Smith faces the Dutchman for the second time in the final of darts' most prestigious competition, having previously lost to van Gerwen in 2019. He once again made the final last year, losing to Peter Wright in the final at Alexandra Palce and the St Helens based Smith will be hoping to claim his first world title.
Van Gerwen, meanwhile has been in ominous form and defeated Dimitri Van den Bergh in the semi-final as he hopes to win a fourth world title and cement the World Number One ranking. Smith will be hoping to become world number one with a win and is in good form having beaten Gabriel Clemens 6-2 in the semi-finals.
