How much has Brexit cost you in holiday money? The results will shock you

Are you wondering how the falling pound might be affecting your holiday money?

Well, our gadget will help you find out.

The pound has been up and down against the Euro since the historic Brexit vote in 2016.

And last week saw it fall to a two-year low as Boris Johnson's new government began its first daily crisis talks over a No Deal Brexit.

Recent events have been it reach lows of just €1.09 at the time of writing -  a 1.34% fall.

Before the referendum a pound would have got you a much more favourable €1.31.

That means that those San Miguels and Sangrias cost a lot more today than they did three years ago.

Against the dollar the pound fell 1.24% to 1.2228, its lowest since March 2017.

Nigel Green, of financial advisory firm deVere Group, said the pinch will be felt by all those going abroad, not just in the eurozone.

He added: “The pound is the worst-performing major currency in the last three months, meaning almost every destination is now more expensive.”
