How much each Strictly Come Dancing celebrity was paid to appear on the show

This years series of Strictly Come Dancing drew to a close last Saturday with Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice announced as the winners.

The 2021 series has been eventful with a number of celebrities dropping out due to injuries or after testing positive for Covid and there's been plenty of emotional and heart-warming moments.

The Mirror reports the earning of stars, dancers and judges who featured in the live shows this year.

The presenters

First up are presenters Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

The charismatic duo have hosted the show this year and have divided many fans with their bold looks over the weeks.

The former Strictly: It Takes Two presenter, Claudia Winkleman, began presenting the live show alongside Tess Daly in 2014.

Claudia Winkleman has an eye-watering income of almost £1 million and is reported to be the highest paid woman on the BBC. She nets £150,000 per year on Strictly.

Whereas, Tess Daly earns a reported £150,000 per series on Strictly, as well as earning from hosting a number of shows and being a brand ambassador for beauty brands.

The judges

Shirley Ballas

Shirley joined the show back in 2017 (BBC)

Shirley, 61, was become a judge on Strictly back in 2017 when Len Goodman quit the show.

At the start Shirley was paid £180,000 per series but that increased over-time particularity over the last three years.

The star now makes a rumoured £500,000 per series and also earns money with panto appearances according to The Mirror.

Craig Revel-Horwood

Craig Revel Horwood is tough to please (BBC)

Craig Revel Horwood is a judge best known for his harsh criticisms, and tough to please attitude.

The 56-year-old judge, choreographer and theatre director has an earning of £400,000.

Craig has directed Sister Act and has directed the Strictly tour since 2012, which is thought to earn him another £200k a year.

Motsi Mabuse

Motsi Mabuse (BBC)

Motsi joined the judging panel in 2019 following Darcy Bussell's departure and is rumoured to have started on a salary of £200,000.

The 40-year-old runs a dance school with her husband and is an ambassador for the German Weight Watchers.

Motsi has also appeared in Let's Dance, the German version of Strictly.

Her overall earning is at £325,000.

Anton Du Beke

Anton become the new judge this year (BBC)

This year, Anton Du Beke went from the longest-serving pro to a judge on the panel as he replaced Bruno Tonioli.

Anton's earning is estimated at around £332,000.

The Sun report that he is made between £175,000 and £200,000 for being a judge this year. He previously earned a £65,000 salary as a pro dancer.

The stars income has an added income from working as a professional dancer and releasing a novel.

The Celebrities

Strictly line up 2021 (PA)

Each of the celebs taking part in Strictly are offered the same amount of money.

The celebrities are paid £25,000, however, they make it past week four, they're paid £40,000.

Those who remain in the competition until the quarter final receives £60,000, with the semi-finalists netting £75,000.

Whoever wins Strictly is paid £100,000 and are given the Glitterball trophy.
