How much do you know about the Olympics? Take our quiz on Scotland's athletes ahead of the Tokyo 2020 opening ceremony

After a year’s delay, Scotland’s athletes have finally flown out to Tokyo to compete with Team GB and the Olympics.

The opening ceremony of this year’s competition, which is confusingly referred to as Tokyo 2020, will kick off in the Japanese capital on Friday, July 23.

Scottish athletes will be hoping to go one further than their record breaking success they enjoyed during the 2016 Olympics held in Rio.

But this year’s games will be completely different to the ones held before it, as an escalating coronavirus crisis in Japan means that there will be no crowd to cheer on the Scots.

With just days to go until the official opening of Tokyo 2020, we have created a quiz about the history of the Games and Scotland’s participation in it over the years.

Good luck! And be sure to share your score with your pals.
