How Much Did Gary Woodland Win At The 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open?

Gary Woodland kneels down beside the Texas Children's Houston Open trophy on the 18th green at Memorial Park.

Golf fans witnessed one of the year's most emotional and popular victories on Sunday as Gary Woodland won the 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open.

Less than three years ago, Woodland underwent surgery to remove a lesion on his brain. After recovering from that and returning to the PGA Tour, the 41-year-old recently revealed he was suffering from PTSD but was continuing to fight on every day.

Having shared that he felt so much better for sharing his struggles, a rejuvenated Woodland went on to dominate this week's event in the Lone Star state.

The 2019 US Open champion added his fourth outright PGA Tour title at Memorial Park thanks to a five-stroke success in Texas, consequently setting the tournament scoring record thanks to a par at the last.

And with The Masters just a couple of weeks away, Woodland's timing couldn't have been better as his latest victory has now earned a spot at Augusta National for the 13th time in his career.

Not only that, but the Kansas-born pro has also picked up a check for almost $1.8 million - one of the biggest pay days in his near 20-year pro career - from a total purse of $9.9 million.

In second was Nicolai Hojgaard, and although a one-over-par final day was disappointing, the solo second represented the Dane's highest PGA Tour finish and banked him just over $1 million.

For everyone else, it was a case of trying to end the week as high up the leaderboard as possible in order to collect as much money and as many OWGR points as possible. The top-50 in the world on Monday, should they not already be exempt, will book a last-gasp tee time at Augusta National.
