Cameron Young produced a fine display on Sunday to secure the biggest win of his career at TPC Sawgrass, with a birdie-par finish good enough to claim a one shot victory over Matt Fitzpatrick.

Arguably the most prestigious non-Major in men's golf, The Players Championship offers up a $25 million payout to those who made the cut from the starting list of just over 120, with a mammoth $4.5 million heading to the winner, Young.
Not only did the 28-year-old claim the PGA Tour's Flagship Event, but his performance meant he pocketed 750 FedEx Cup points, as well plenty of Official World Golf Ranking points.
Although he missed out on becoming the first Englishman to win The Players Championship, Fitzpatrick will take solace in a $2,725,000 payday, while it's his best result on the PGA Tour since his runner-up finish at the BMW Championship in 2023.

Rounding out the podium spots was Xander Schauffele, who pocketed $1,725,000 for his efforts. Behind the two-time Major winner was Robert MacIntyre, whose solo fourth finished netted him $1,225,000.
One of the feel good stories of the week came in the form of Sudarshan Yellamaraju, who carded rounds of 66 and 68 over the weekend to finish T5th. That result meant a $925,000 payday, which is more than the whole of his career earnings.
A number of names produced fine results at TPC Sawgrass and you can check out the full prize purse breakdown below.
