How much Cristiano Ronaldo is spending in Saudi Arabia after £175m Al-Nassr deal

Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed his move to Al-Nassr earlier this month after leaving Manchester United.

The forward signed a deal with the Saudi Arabian club that would see him earn £175m per season, making him the best-paid player in the history of the sport. However Ronaldo's expenditure during his first month at the club is also eyewatering.

According to The Mirror, the forward's stay at the lavish Four Seasons hotel in Riyadh will cost the player £250,000 by the time he checks out at the end of the month. It is yet unclear what the player's plans are in terms of residence past this.

During his time in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo is completing work on his 'retirement home' back in Portugal. The mansion based in Quinta da Marinha will reportedly cost the 37-year-old £17m and will be finished in June.

Ronaldo is also reportedly in the market for a chef for his new home as well, according to the MailOnline. The selected candidate will earn up to £4,500 a month, but the Portuguese forward is having a hard time finding someone suitable.

Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez wants a chef who is versed in both traditional Portuguese cuisine but also international dishes such as sushi; the mansion has an area specifically for the preparation of the Japanese dish.

When Ronaldo will move into his 'retirement home' is still yet to be confirmed. Ronaldo has a two-and-a-half-year contract with Al-Nassr and is still yet to make his official debut as he is serving a two-match ban for an incident that occurred while he was playing for United.

Ronaldo is, however, playing for a Saudi All-Star XI against Lionel Messi's PSG in a friendly match on Thursday.
