He may not be an Arsenal player any longer, but Jeff Reine-Adelaide looks set to hand the Gunners a surprise windfall.
The 21-year-old has left Angers in favour of a move to French giants Lyon and the north London side are set to feel the benefit.
Reine-Adelaide never made a senior appearance for Arsenal, but upon leaving the Emirates Stadium the Gunners inserted a 20% sell-on clause into the deal.
Lyon announced a deal worth £23million plus £2.3million in add-ons, meaning that Unai Emery's side are are set to pocket in the region of £5million for the sale of their former asset.
That means that Arsenal's transfer budget could be boosted going into the January transfer window.
The north London outfit benefited from Ismael Bennacer's move to AC Milan as they reportedly included a 30% sell-on fee clause after selling him to Empoli.
They also raised funds by selling Alex Iwobi to Everton for a reported £40m fee on transfer deadline day last week.
Of course it was an expensive summer for the Gunners and so the latest influx of cash could be used to build the budget back up.
However I'm sure plenty of Arsenal fans will be hoping that the money can be used to fund further additions at the midway point of the season.
