How much Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham paid to agents as Premier League figures released

Premier League clubs paid more than £260million in total to agents and other intermediaries over the past year, with Liverpool spending more than any other club.

The FA has published its annual statement detailing the payments and transactions involving registered Intermediates across the Premier League, EFL and National League.

The payments involved range from February 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020, and takes into account every single transaction(s) in which each registered Intermediary was involved during the 12-month period.

FIFA regulations introduced in 2015 on working with intermediaries require the details to be published each year, and may take into account transactions that were entered into prior to February 1.

Deloitte predicts Premier League clubs will lose £1bn revenue this season

The statement shows that clubs in the Premier League paid out a total of £263,368,860 to agents and intermediaries, and there aren’t many surprises as to which clubs spent the most.

League leaders Liverpool sit top of the pile, having paid £30,308,791 to agents, with Manchester City close behind with £29,025,799.

Manchester United are next, having spent £27,560,409, while Chelsea paid out £26,183,337, despite having a transfer ban placed on them last summer.

Everton are the next biggest spenders with £16,942,997, with Leicester City not far behind on £15,367,250. The London trio of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham are the only other sides to have spent more than £10million on agents.
