How Mohamed Salah's evening in New York unfolded as Liverpool star meets Hollywood icons

Last week Liverpool's Mohamed Salah was named on TIME Magazine's list of 100 Most Influential people.

And on Tuesday evening the winger was in New York to attend the prestigious gala.

The event was held in the Lincoln Center and was attended by some of the world's most famous stars.

Guests included actors Dwayne Johnson, Glenn Close and Sandra Oh, with singers Taylor Swift and Khalid both performing songs on the night.

Comedian Jimmy Fallon was excited to meet the Egypt international as they posed together.

British actress and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke was wearing a stunning red dress as she smiled with Salah.

Liverpool pre-season 2019/20 fixtures confirmed 

Salah was wearing a smart tuxedo and also posed for a picture with award-winning actor Rami Malek.

The Oscar winner scooped the Best Actor prize earlier this year for his starring role in biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Malek was born in Los Angeles to Egyptian parents and the iconic photo quickly went viral on social media.

Liverpool's goalscorer was later pictured with comedians Trevor Noah and Hasan Minhaj.

The 26-year-old will return to Merseyside this week as Jurgen Klopp's side prepare to face Huddersfield on Friday at 8pm.
