Meghan and Harry preserved a royal tradition going back decades with Baby Sussex's outfit when they unveiled him to the world today.
The three-day-old tot named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor made his debut wrapped in a white merino wool shawl and white cashmere hat.
They were knitted by a small, family-run company which was also used by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their children.
Harry, dressed in a light grey suit, cradled his as-yet unnamed son, who was tucked up in the hand-finished shawl made by the Nottingham company GH Hurt & Son, based in Chilwell.

It is called the Leaves And Flowers Baby Shawl, with shell detailing on each edge, and costs £105.00 according to the company's website.
Meghan smiled on by the pair's side, looking radiant in a loose-fitting white dress by Grace Wales Bonner with a pleat at the back.
A spokesman for GH Hurt & Son said its staff were "delighted" to see the royal couple emerge from Windsor Castle.
He added: "We feel so proud and honoured that Harry and Meghan have chosen our beautiful merino wool lacy knitted baby shawls and in doing so have continued a royal tradition now going back over 70 years."

The firm has a long-standing connection to the Royal Family.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were all swaddled in shawls made by the company in their first appearances on the doorstep of the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in London.
The firm said the Duke of Cambridge was wrapped in a similar shawl in 1982.

Its shawls have also been used previously by other members of the Royal Family.
Outside of royal circles, the garment has drawn the celebrity seal of approval.
Victoria Beckham was seen using the brand to cover her daughter Harper in Los Angeles in 2011.
Meanwhile, it was initially thought Meghan was wearing a trench dress by Givenchy - the same brand who created her elegant wedding dress.

However it has since been confirmed it is the work of Wales Bonner.
The prize-winning menswear designer is a rising star in the fashion world.
According to the Business of Fashion, Wales Bonner was born in southeast London to a Jamaican father and English mother.
“Wales Bonner uses her mixed-race heritage as a key reference in her collections,” says the fashion site.
“Her work explores representations of black male sexuality and identity, through exceptional craftsmanship and embellishments.”
