How Mason Greenwood's finishing really compares with his Manchester United teammates and the world's best

After their 4-0 demolition of Chelsea last weekend, it's safe to say that Manchester United's 2019/20 campaign has started well, with all three of United's new signings playing a key part in the win.

But, it was Marcus Rashford who had the biggest impact, scoring once from the penalty spot and producing another fine finish when racing through on goal, after being played in by Paul Pogba. Anthony Martial and Daniel James also got on the scoresheet.

This week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked who was the best finisher out of Rashford and Martial , he cheekily replied: "They've still got a way to go because Mason [Greenwood]'s more of a natural finisher than them too."

Although it was possible this may have been a bit of light-hearted humour, it got us thinking, just how good is Greenwood's finishing?

And, how does he actually compare to the likes of Martial and Rashford?

We used the highly respected Football Manager 2019 database to find out.

Mason Greenwood - AMR/ST

Current ability: 95

Potential ability: (-85) 170/200

Age: 17

Best attributes (out of 20): Acceleration (16), Finishing (15), Natural Fitness (15), Pace (15), First Touch (14), Composure (14), Determination (14).

Greenwood has outstanding attributes for someone so young, he doesn't even turn 18 until October!

His high acceleration, finishing, natural fitness, pace, first touch, composure and determination attributes match some of United's best players, such is his talent.

The youngster has been given a potential of -85 on Football Manager 2019, which means he could reach an overall current ability of 170, to put this into context, that would make him the second-best outfield player at the club, just behind Pogba's ability (174).

But, how does his high finishing (15) attribute compare to his United teammates?
