How Mason Greenwood has transformed at Manchester United this summer

Scott McTominay has hailed Mason Greenwood's transformation over the summer as high expectations continue to surround the teenage prodigy at Manchester United.

Greenwood, 17, came off the bench in United's win over Chelsea last weekend and looked in fine physical fettle during his five-minute cameo.

And McTominay has been singing the youngster's praises ahead of Monday night's meeting with Wolves.

"It's amazing, the transition," McTominay told Sky Sports. "I used to get that all the time, 'he's so much bigger, so much stronger now' and it's like, I don't see it because I'm just myself.

"Mason is another one who has just grown and grown and in every single training session you're seeing more from him.

"The manager was a striker and Mason is as well and I'm sure Mason will be getting a lot of different coaching and different ways in which he can follow in the footsteps of some amazing strikers that have played at this football club as well."

McTominay added that United need to let their football do the talking at Molineux after back-to-back defeats by Nuno Espirito Santo's side towards the end of last season.

The 22-year-old added: "We have looked back at it (the losses) and I'm sure everybody knows we're going to look back at it and determine what the problem was last year because we lost twice in two or three weeks.

"It's about putting that right. It's not about speaking about it, it's not about saying this, that or the other. It's about doing it."
