How many signings do Swansea City need - and where? Pick your Swans starting XI

Jake Bidwell became Swansea City's first signing of the summer earlier this month.

And chairman Trevor Birch has revealed that the Swans are hoping to "bring a couple more in" before the August 8 transfer deadline.

Having secured the services of left-back Bidwell, Steve Cooper will no doubt be hoping to bolster other areas of his squad, particularly the centre of defence and potentially other sections including the wings, central midfield and up front.

Daniel James completed his big money move to Manchester United early on in the window while Jordan Ayew is edging ever closer to securing a move to Crystal Palace.

It's meant Swansea have heavily reduced their wage bill this month, particularly given that the likes of Leroy Fer, Luciano Narsingh, Martin Olsson and Wilfried Bony have all been released.

Additional exits are expected too, with the top brass at the Liberty Stadium also hopeful of offloading Andre Ayew, Borja Baston and Jefferson Montero.

The flurry of activity will no doubt help Cooper in his pursuit of new recruits.

But which areas in particular do you think the Swans need to strengthen?

Using our team selector tool, we want you to pick your Swansea starting XI - including any positions you want to see a new face in come the start of the season.

You can use any formation, simply select New ST etc if you want to see a new signing in that role.

Pick your side below and see how it compares with the most popular selection.

(Given that the Ayew brothers, Montero and Borja are expected to depart, they have not been included in the selection. GK = Goalkeeper; CB = Centre-back; FB = Full-back; MF = Midfielder; W = Winger; ST = Striker)
