How many goals do Liverpool need against Barcelona to reach the UEFA Champions League final

Following a major blow at Camp Nou, Liverpool face an uphill battle against Barcelona in the second-leg of the Champions League semi final tonight.

Last Wednesday, the Reds lost 3-0 to the Catalan side, despite a strong game.

Former Reds forward Luis Suarez put Barcelona ahead in the first half, with all still to play for as Liverpool remained on the attack.

However, Lionel Messi's goals in the 75th and 82nd minute sealed Liverpool's fate at Camp Nou.

Tonight, the two European giants meet again at Anfield, as Liverpool aim to turnaround their hopes of a second successive Champions League final.

But how many goals do Liverpool need to beat Barcelona?

As it stands, Liverpool need to win the game by four clear goals in 90 minutes to go through.

So a score line of 4-0, 5-1 or 6-2 and so on, would be enough.

But should Liverpool score 3 without reply after 90 minutes the match will be sent into extra time.

If the score remains the same, the result of the match will be determined by a penalty shoot-out.

A goal from the Spanish champions within 90 minutes would rule out the possibility of extra time or penalities.
