How many goals do Chelsea need against Eintracht Frankfurt to reach the UEFA Europa League final?

Chelsea are hoping to make it to their first European final since the 2013 when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-final second leg tonight (Thursday).

The first leg of the tie, which was played at the Commerzbank-Arena, ended all square.

Things didn't start too well for the Blues in Germany when Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic put the home team in front on 23 minutes, but Chelsea hit back just before half time.

Pedro took advantage of an uncleared corner to draw the Blues level and grab what could turn out to be a crucial away goal.

That is how the game finished, meaning that a place in the final is still well within the reach of both teams going into the second leg.

Stamford Bridge is the venue for the meeting, but will Chelsea be able to use the home advantage to full affect?

How many goals and what scorelines will see the Blues through to the final of the competition?

As it stands, any Chelsea win will take them through via an aggregate score. For example, a 1-0 win on the night would give Maurizio Sarri's men a 2-1 aggregate score, a 2-1 win would put them through with a aggregate score of 3-2.

Any Frankfurt win would mean that Chelsea would crash out at the semi-final stage.

Chelsea can however still make it to the final even if they don't win on the night. A 0-0 scoreline will take the Blues through via the away goal rule .

A 1-1 draw is the only scoreline that will take the tie into extra time and a possible penalty shootout.

Any higher score draw than 1-1 will mean that Frankfurt will make it through, again via the away goals rule.
