'How many gears does it have?' Scots shop selling sledges at £20 a pop roasted by fuming locals

A Scots shop advertising sledges at £20 a pop has been roasted by miffed locals.

Hilarity ensued when the My Local store in East Kilbride attempted to take advantage of the cold snap by punting the plastic sledges at priority prices.

Safe in the knowledge that everyone is stuck at home and desperate for any form of excitement, the shop decided to advertise a stack of plastic red sledges for £20 each.

But as they took to Facebook to advertise "Sledges in stock £20", fuming locals left enraged over the cost didn't hold back.

One person commented: "Does it take you back up the hill for that price?" ... and things quickly got out of hand from there.

Another added: "Anyone willing to pay that is heading for a slippery slope."

Another joked: "They must be taking the piste."

Another local declared: "There must be about £1000 worth of sledges there!"

One of the more creative jokers of the group said: "Even the sledges been sick at the price, spaghetti everywhere!!?!!"

Others took things a bit further, reckoning they should have been offered a car for that price.

One said: "What year is this and how many miles has this done?"

While another pal replied: "How much MOT is on it?"

Someone else said: "Tax and insurance included?"

And another arguably took it too far, adding: "How many gears and do they have ABS?"

The post has gone viral after hundreds of people shared it on Facebook just to get a peep at the comments.
