How many episodes of Too Close are there on ITV? New thrillers has viewers hooked

After being hooked on it from the get-go, viewers have been left wondering what else is to come in gripping new ITV thriller Too Close.

Adverts had been teasing its arrival on screens for weeks and on Monday viewers got their first look at the highly anticipated drama, led by Emily Watson and Denise Gough in the central roles.

Too Close sees former Miss Potter and Apple Tree Yard actress Emily play psychiatrist Dr Emma Robertson, who is assigned to work with Connie Mortensen, a woman accused of a heinous crime but who claims she can’t remember a thing.

The two welcome dangerously close as Emma tries to get to grips with Connie's complex relationship with her beautiful best friend, Ness Jones, which seems to have caused her to snap.

Emma gradually starts to understand what drove Connie to her crime, but it also seems that she may be getting too close to a woman who is beyond redemption.

There are THREE episodes of Too Close, with episode 2 on Tuesday, April 13 and the third and final part on Wednesday, April 14, both at 9pm.

In episode 2, after unearthing some surprising revelations, Emma becomes increasingly sympathetic to Connie’s plight, but looks set to being manipulated into giving too much away about her own dark past.

And the final episode sees Emma faced with convincing a jury that Connie is no longer a danger to society.

The viewer reaction to Too Close has been big. One viewer tweeted: "Too Close on @ITV had me hooked in the first 5 minutes! Can't wait to watch it again," and another posted: "Itv new drama, too close,I'm gripped, brilliant"
