When does Liar finish? Series 2 of ITV drama unearths Laura's shocking past

Liar finally returned to our screens last month and on Monday night we look set to find out who killed Andrew Earlham.

At the end of 2017, millions of viewers' jaws were on the floor when firstly, it was revealed that Earlham did rape Laura Nielson and then again when the final episode ended with the camera zooming in on his lifeless body in marshland.

The Liar series 2 cast includes Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd who are back to play Laura and Erlham, and they are joined by former Coronation Street and Cheat actress Katherine Kelly as no nonsense detective Karen Renton, who heads up the Earlham murder investigation.

Things went up a few notches in episode 4 as a shocking secret from Laura's family past was revea;ed so we look set for a gripping finale on Monday night, with a whole host of suspects still in the frame for Earlham's murder.

How many episodes are there in Liar series 2?

There will be six episodes in Liar series 2. each airing on consecutive Monday nights on ITV. As things stand, the final episode will be on Monday, April 6.

In episode four a huge bombshell was dropped about Laura's past and how far she's prepared to go for the ones she loves. That set things up nicely for the sixth episode on April 6.

A synopsis reads: "Now reunited with Katy, Laura takes drastic measures to hold the person framing her to account in a last-ditch bid for her freedom. But first, she must discover his identity and where he's hiding.

"To achieve what she needs to prove her innocence, she is forced to collude with the most surprising of people and the shocking truth of what happened on the morning Andrew died is finally revealed."
