How many episodes of BBC Best Interests there are and how to watch

BBC One is bringing a brand new series to screens. Best Interests is the hard-hitting and emotional drama from His Dark Materials writer Jack Thorne and stars Welsh actor Michael Sheen and Irish actor Sharon Horgan in the lead roles of Nicci and Andrew Lloyd.

The legal drama follows a family driven apart by having to make choices no parent would ever want to make when the doctors treating their daughter Marnie, who has a life-threatening condition, believe it is in her best interests to let her die.

Speaking about the story, Jack said: "Best Interests cases are both compelling and revealing. Our country has a very troubled relationship with disability and these cases put a spotlight on that. But our drama is first and foremost a love story and it needs incredible actors to bring it to life. Sharon Horgan and Michael Sheen lead a company of ridiculous talents that pull you into the most interesting of places." You can read more about the cast list here.
