How many delivery slots are available at Asda, Sainsbury's, M&S, Morrisons and Tesco?

As the UK enters its second lockdown, there are a number of patterns from the first wave of coronavirus people will hope won't be repeated.

Some shoppers found it difficult to get online order slots as people opted to stay at home as much as possible.

This time around some people will be made to self-isolate while others may feel more comfortable getting their food delivered right to their door rather than going to the supermarket.

So just how easy is it to book a delivery slot in Nottinghamshire at some of the biggest supermarkets in the country?

We've taken a look at the next available slots for a range of stores and how much it will cost you.

It's important to note - these bookings are subject to change, and were all available as of 10am on Thursday, November 5 - the first day of the national lockdown.

These times were supplied for an address with an NG2 postcode, so they may vary depending on whereabouts in Nottinghamshire you live.

Asda

Asda has many stores around the county - most notably its superstores in West Bridgford, Hyson Green and Arnold.

However, it may be quite a wait if you would like to get your shopping ordered from this store.

The next available slot for shoppers is not until Saturday, November 14.

Booking a slot between 6am and 8am would cost you an additional £7 delivery fee and there is £40 minimum spend for delivery.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's (Leicester Mercury)

For Sainsbury's shoppers, there is slightly more availability.

You are able to book a slot on Thursday, November 12 and there are numerous slots available throughout the day.

If you get in early, between 6.30am and 7.30am, delivery is free, too - other slots will cost you between £2.50 and £5.

Anyone who spends over £100 will get their groceries delivered for free.

Tesco

When we checked on Thursday Tesco shoppers had slots available on Friday, November 6 between 9pm and 11pm at a delivery cost of £4.50.

But now the next available slot doesn't fall until Friday, November 13.

Tesco also offers a click and collect service, for shoppers who can't find a slot to suit them.

M&S

Marks and Spencers uses Ocado as a delivery service for its food items.

Ocado delivery slots are only available for three days in advance - and none are available in the period until Sunday, November 8.

It's worth checking back on their website over the next few days and acting fast if you shop at M&S and want a home delivery over lockdown.

Morrisons

Morrisons, with its superstore in Gamston, has click and collect and a delivery service available for its shoppers.

Anyone who wants a delivery to their home needn't worry, as there are slots available from 5pm until 11pm on Saturday, November 7.

Booking a delivery in these slots will set you back between £3 and £4.50, although shoppers can also get unlimited deliveries over £40 if they choose to have a delivery pass.

A delivery pass costs £8 for one month, £40 for six months and £65 for one year.
