How many chips should be in a portion?

ECHO readers were reeling after a fish and chips review.

Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen & Bar opened in Liverpool ONE last month as the latest restaurant to hit the city centre. The restaurant scored an impressive five stars from the ECHO and was favoured for its "delicious food, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere."

But readers were not as impressed.

The restaurant's fish and chips, priced at £16.50, is served with tartar sauce, mushy peas and curry sauce. But it was the number of chips on the plate that really got readers talking.

Shelia Holt said: "It's a occasional treat not something you would do a few times a week so just enjoy it."

Geraint N Roberts said: "My mother always said if you can count the chips on your plate there aren't enough."
