How many changes should Steve Bruce make for Manchester City? Pick your Newcastle XI

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce will likely be forced to make changes for the daunting trip to Manchester City.

The Magpies are one of the form sides in the Premier League and remain unbeaten in six matches following their draw against West Ham on St James' Park on Sunday.

However, Bruce confirmed Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin are both doubts for the trip to the Etihad on Wednesday night.

United are already set to be without without Isaac Hayden and Sean Longstaff who have hamstring problems. Andy Carroll has also picked up a strain and is considered a doubt.

Bruce will likely consider a tactical reshuffle, having adopted a back five for the recent FA Cup quarter-final clash with Pep Guardiola's side.

That could see Fabian Schar drafted into the defence alongside - or instead of - Jamaal Lascelles and Federico Fernandez. In attack, there could be an opportunity for loanee Valentino Lazaro and other attackers Christian Atsu and Yoshinori Muto.

But which starting eleven would you like to see face a City side looking to bounce back from their surprise defeat at Southampton.

Would you change the formation, or like to see United retain their recent attacking threat and continue with the 4-2-3-1 system?

Use our team selector above to chose the Newcastle side you would send out at the Etihad Stadium, and see how it compares to the most popular XI.
