How Manchester United players celebrated Christmas ahead of Leicester City fixture

There's no rest for Manchester United, who were last to play on Wednesday night and are first to kick off on Boxing Day.

That gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad little time to prepare for a tough test at Leicester tomorrow, let alone fit in a proper Christmas Day with the family. However, United players still used the time they had on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to take a break from a busy Premier League schedule and celebrate the festivities.

Life as a Premier League player has plenty of perks, but one downside that ex-pros often bring up is the dreaded Christmas Day training. There was no let-up this year, with a trip down to the King Power bright and early in the morning.

Before that, though, there were plenty of matching pyjama sets, extravagant Christmas trees, and family pictures on social media from United players, and we've rounded up the best here:

The Fernandes family celebrated their first Christmas in Manchester.

There was a rare sighting of Father Christmas at the Lindelof household.

We spotted Odion Ighalo's United wrapping paper.

Alex Telles had the family round.

Fred and family were in matching PJs - wait, are they the same pyjamas as Ighalo's?

Jesse Lingard dressed appropriately for the occasion

And it wouldn't be Christmas without a message from the King himself.
