The attendance figures for the 2018-2019 season see Manchester United sit top of the pile, with Old Trafford still attracting massive crowds amid a turbulent period for the team on the field.
United did seeing a drastic improvement in the wake of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment in December.
Although, somewhat bizarrely, their form dipped considerably once his caretaker role was made permanent and they took just two points from their final five league games as the season fizzled out.
That didn’t stop fans turning up in their droves, according to figures from www.worldfootball.net. United had an average attendance of 74,498 at home matches - higher than any other team in the Premier League.
Second to them was Arsenal, with the Emirates holding 59,899 on average last season.
The top ten was dominated by London and the North West, with only Newcastle in seventh and Leicester in tenth not from the capital or Manchester and Merseyside.
At the bottom of the table, unsurprisingly, was Bournemouth. The limited capacity at the Vitality Stadium means their average attendance of 10,532 is not an entirely fair representation of their fanbase.
