Manchester City players feel they could have got more out of their three away fixtures this week against Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.
That is according to midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who played a part in City's huge win at Stamford Bridge, the frustrating defeat at PSG, and the entertaining 2-2 draw at Anfield.
After holding firm to beat Chelsea, City created plenty of chances in Paris but were undone by two goals on the break to fall to a 2-0 reverse. At Liverpool, City dominated again, but could only draw after moments of quality from Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.
To win all three away trips would have been a big ask for any squad, but De Bruyne's initial reaction was that City perhaps could have scored more - especially against PSG and Liverpool.
Despite that, speaking to City+, he said that his side's performances over the previous eight days was faultless.
"It was a hard game, I think we played well," he said at Anfield.
"The first half I think we dominated them, the second half was a little more difficult. We had enough opportunities to go forward. The reaction after their two goals was good.
"I didn't play here last year when we won, but I think the way we performed here with all their supporters, in the six or seven years I've been here, was by far the best one. That's a good sign for me.
"We should have scored and we have to be better in that department. I cannot fault the performance, but I feel that way with all three performances and we ended up with one win, one draw and a loss. We played well and with quality.
"Performances here in the past where we went 1-0 behind and it became 2-0, 3-0 really quickly. We found a way to react to that. To come here is a hard test and I think we did really well, the way we played, we should be happy with that.
"When after the [September] international break we had a really hard month. We are close to the top of the table, so we're fighting really well but we have to do the same after the international break and there's still a long way to go. But the way we performed this month was good."
