How Man City players fared this weekend as Kevin De Bruyne secures assist

Manchester City are on course to reclaim the Premier League title from Liverpool and the squad will also be eyeing further successes throughout the course of the year.

While Pep Guardiola's side continue in their push to snatch all four major titles, there is also the small matter of the European Championships this summer - where City players past and present will be heavily involved.

Next year also brings the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup in Qatar, so it's a busy period for international footballers and City have a total of 13 players currently on duty with senior international sides.

Here, we've run down the latest batch of results and the performances from the City contingent.

Pep Guardiola praises Man City's "brilliant" performance in Monchengladbach win

Albania 0-2 England

England's 100% record at the start of World Cup Qualifying was maintained with a 2-0 victory away to Albania, where Tottenham's Harry Kane and Chelsea's Mason Mount were on the scoresheet.

Kyle Walker, John Stones and Raheem Sterling all played the entirety of the match, with the trio looking set to be a core part of Gareth Southgate's squad this summer.

Phil Foden was among the starters and played 81 minutes before being substituted for Manchester United's Jesse Lingard, on loan at West Ham.

Czech Republic 1-1 Belgium

Roberto Martinez's Belgium were held to a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic, in a match where Kevin de Bruyne showed his class once again by assisting Romelu Lukaku's equaliser, which came 10 minutes after the hosts opened the scoring.

Romania 0-1 Germany

Ilkay Gundogan played the entirety of Germany's narrow victory over Romania, earning his 44th cap and continuing his resurgence at international level following a period of injury issues.

Serbia 2-2 Portugal

An entertaining draw between Serbia and Portugal caught the headlines over the weekend, due to Cristiano Ronaldo's furious reaction to seeing his last-gasp winner not given despite replays showing the ball had crossed the line.

From a City perspective, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva played the entirety of the match while Joao Cancelo played 72 minutes.

Georgia 1-2 Spain

Spain could only secure a narrow victory over minnows Georgia, with Dani Olmo's injury-time winner saving blushes for the two-time European champions.

Ferran Torres opened the scoring for the visitors, equalising after Georgia took a lead before half-time, and played the entirety of the match, along with Eric Garcia.

Rodri , meanwhile, was an unused substitute during the match and was not able to add to the 17 caps he has earned since 2018.

Ukraine 1-1 Finland

Oleksandr Zinchenko played the entirety of Ukraine's 1-1 draw with Finland, with Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki scoring a last-gasp penalty to snatch a point for the visitors.

Northern Ireland 1-2 USA

Zack Steffen played the entirety of the United States' victory over Northern Ireland in an international friendly, taking his tally of caps to 21.
