Manchester City supporters will tonight get the chance to hear from record signing Jack Grealish during a live unveiling at the Etihad Stadium.
Signed from Aston Villa in a £100million deal last week, Grealish, who stepped off the bench to make his City debut during Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Leicester in the Community Shield at Wembley, will attend a special event this evening.
Taking place at the Etihad Stadium's West Reception, the event gets under way at 5pm and Grealish is poised to arrive an hour later at 6pm.
The event, which will hand City's supporters the chance to see the England international close up for the first time and hear what he has to say about his record-breaking move to the Etihad Stadium, will be hosted by City Square presenters Danny Jackson and Natalie Pike.
As well as offering supporters the chance to lay their hands on some limited edition Grealish merchandise, which will be part of a number of special giveaways done by the club, there will also be live music and other prizes to be won.
Those who do attend will also hear from special guests and pundits, who will provide specialist insight and analysis of the attacking-midfielder, who will be looking to earn his first start in City colours when they face Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League opener on Sunday afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Revealing why he had been so keen to add Grealish to his squad, City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking ahead of the defeat to Leicester, said: "He controls the tempo when he accelerates and decelerates. Especially when I saw him when we played Aston Villa, the physicality, the mentality.
"I liked many things we saw, that’s why we tried, especially Txiki, Txiki was completely in love with him so that’s why we decided to try. We could do it because we could sell, otherwise Jack would still be a Villa player.
"We believe that he will be perfect for us and for the age, quality plus he is English. I'm sure he will be an incredible player for the national team and we’re delighted to have him with us."
