How Luis Suarez humiliated Philippe Coutinho in training before Man Utd game

Philippe Coutinho has been struggling for confidence in recent months.

The Barcelona midfielder, who is the club's most expensive player at £142million, has failed to shine since his January 2018 transfer from Liverpool and has even been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.

There isn't long left of the season for Coutinho to turn his campaign around and prove to Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde that he is worth keeping on.

And the Brazilian playmaker will be hoping he is selected to face Manchester United in the first leg of Barcelona's Champions League quarter-final clash at Old Trafford.

Man Utd team vs Barcelona CONFIRMED for Champions League quarter-final clash

After all, the last time Coutinho was in sensational form it was in the Premier League playing under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

But the midfielder's preparation didn't get off to a flying start when Barcelona trained ahead of Wednesday's match.

The team took part in Rondo, which involves quick intricate passing between team-mates while being closed down by defending players.

Coutinho was on the side of the defenders and attempted to dispossess Suarez, only for the Barcelona forward to put the ball through his legs and humiliate him.

Of course, the Brazilian didn't take the joke to heart and laughed along with his team-mates as Gerard Pique pointed out that the nutmeg had been caught on camera.
