Love Island returned to our screens last week and viewers have been waiting for the drama and steamy bedroom antics.
However, since the rebooted version of the show aired in 2015, rules have become stricter and what is allowed inside the villa has changed.
During the ITV2 show's first few seasons, viewers were shocked and excited over the never-ending on-screen sex, intense arguments, meaningful couples as well as excessive drinking and smoking.
Remember when Zara Holland lost her title as Miss GB after she slept with Alex Bowen in the hideaway in 2016?
Viewers may have noticed that fewer contestants decide to go all the way with their partners on the show.
And sometimes, producers simply don't show the scenes.
Smoking Ban

In earlier seasons of the show, a lot of the Islanders had their conversations about the ongoings in the villa while smoking a cigarette.
Before it was banned, it was revealed that the contestants who smoked were given 20 cigarettes per day.
Craig Lawson, who briefly appeared on the show, said in 2017: "The show normally provides 20 fags a day per person – so five people equates to 100 cigarettes. Fags are on mass supply...

"But if you get through your daily allowance then you won’t be given anymore – no one should be smoking more than 20 a day; that’s a lot. Some people smoke quite excessively in the villa...
"I’m a non-smoker but I would still get a supply. You get so bored when you’re in there – that’s why you see so many people smoking. There’s only so much you can talk about your life."
However, in 2018, ITV bosses decided to ban the showing of smoking on screens after many complaints from viewers.
Head of ITV2, Paul Mortimer, revealed to Radio Times that "more than 50% of complaints about the show were about people smoking."
Offscreen is a different story as producers installed a designated smoking area within the space around the villa.
Speaking to the Daily Star, an ITV spokesperson also confirmed that only one islander is permitted to smoke at any given time.
Drinking Limits

Unfortunately for viewers waiting for drunken drama, ITV have placed strict rules on what the contestants can drink.
Islanders are only allowed to have two pre-poured glasses per night, while group parties mean they can share two bottles of prosecco.
"You're allowed one or two drinks a night, either wine or beer, no spirits," former Islander Liana Isadora Van-Riel said to The Sun about her appearance on the second season of the show.
A Love Island spokesperson previously explained: "We provide our Islanders with all of the necessary precautionary measures and all alcohol consumption is strictly monitored."
Unlike many other reality shows, the stars can't get extremely drunk.

Rules on Sexual Activity
Some of the most jaw-dropping scenes from the entire series were the one-on-one moments from the beds.
Season two's Zara lost her Miss GB crown after having sex with Alex Bowen.
Warning 2019's contestants, she explained to The Sun : "I would say to any contestants this series, don't do anything that you would regret later in life.
“Sometimes things in the moment never leave you and it can be hard to get over."
“To put it down to one thing and it is still a fact now; I can't get away from what happened.
“I feel like there were other girls on my series, not naming names, that did way worse than me but just because they didn't have a title no one really cared."
In 2017, fans were treated to the likes of Tyla and Mike, Montana and Alex, and winners Kem and Amber getting down and dirty under the sheets.
Then there's Terry Walsh and Emma-Jane Woodhams who caused controversy for having sex in front of all the other Islanders.
Apparently, Islanders are not allowed to masturbate or be nude around the villa as it counts as public space.
Marcel Somerville from 2017's series revealed that all contestants have to have STI tests before entering the villa.
He said: "There’ll always be members of the cast who are more outgoing than others, and there’ll be people who don’t mind doing it [sex]. It’s definitely down to the cast members, if you do want to do it then by all means do it...
"The show provides the necessary protection, so just be safe. The show does do strict testing beforehand just to make sure that everyone going on there is clean."
