How long will the sunny spring weather last in the UK?

Wednesday was recorded as the hottest day of the year so far in the UK, with temperatures reaching 20.9C in Gogerddan near Aberystwyth.
Warm and sunny weather is set to continue across the UK into the weekend, although temperatures are not expected to reach 20C again.
Forecasts indicate highs of 17C in London and Manchester on Thursday, dropping to 15C on Friday, which is also the spring equinox.
The Met Office predicts highs of 16C in Manchester on Saturday and 14C across most of England on Sunday.
The current warm spell is due to air being drawn up from southern Europe, with a Met Office spokesman suggesting these temperatures are likely a peak for some time.
