How long will Ravens QB Lamar Jackson play vs. Packers

It might be the preseason but NFL teams still sometimes play games to get a little edge. Even though the outcome of the games don’t actually matter, some coaches will hold back how often their starters will be on the field in each preseason game. But for those Baltimore Ravens fans wondering how long Lamar Jackson will play against the Green Bay Packers, coach John Harbaugh offered some insight on Tuesday.

Harbaugh said Jackson will see the first quarter against the Packers, likely three or four series worth of action. It’s the same amount of time Jackson was on the field last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Harbaugh has typically used this philosophy when it comes to his quarterbacks in the preseason. With four preseason games on the docket, if a player plays one quarter in each game, they effectively get a full game under their belt. More importantly, the coaching staff gets a full game’s worth of film but against completely different defenses in order to finetune things for the regular season.

Last week against the Jaguars, Jackson went 4-of-6 for 59 yards and one touchdown pass. He had no rushing attempts at all.
