How long will Glasgow’s April heatwave last? Here’s the latest Met Office weather forecast

Well Glasgow, it’s been fun while it lasted - but will the heatwave we’ve all been enjoying of late last the week?

The city has enjoyed temperatures of up to 24 degrees , and just in time for the bank holiday weekend - meaning Easter has been a sunny affair for those us who aren’t stuck in work.

So, what will the week bring when everyone is back at work tomorrow?

Glasgow reacts to Easter weekend 'heatwave'

According to the Met Office, we could be in for more sunny weather - but it may be short-lived. Sorry, Glasgow.

The forecast for Tuesday (April 23) is 18C and plenty of sunshine, followed by a steady fall in temperature over the coming days.

That means by Sunday, we could be back down to 11C and heavy rain - brilliant.

The Met Office says to expect “rain spreading north later Wednesday” and “unsettled showers at the end of the week” - scuppering our chances of another weekend of barbecue action.

Still, we’ve had some good times this Easter weekend, and there’s a whole other day tomorrow to enjoy the last of the spring sunshine.

Here’s hoping this isn’t the last of it, and that more warm weather is on the way for summer.
