How long is Love Island on for? New winter series gets going on ITV2

We've got a text! Love Island is officially back with its first ever winter series.

Since debuting on ITV2 in 2015, Love Island has been a TV show that has had everyone talking, as well as proving a real ratings winner for the channel.

And, now with new host Laura Whitmore at the helm, as they flirt, date, break up and make up, the new will be trying to capture the hearts of each other - and the nation - as the viewers decide their favourite couple and declare them the Love Island series 6 winners.

Sunday's new series launch show will see the Love Island girls enter the villa ahead of the first coupling up and then - twins Eve and Jess Gale.

How long is Love Island on for?

ITV are keeping tight lipped on how long the first ever winter series will last but, if it's anything like the summer one, we can expect to be hooked on the goings on in the new South African villa for 6 - 8 weeks.

The launch episode of Love Island series 6 will run from 9pm - 10.35pm on Sunday night.

Just like in the summer, it will then be on the channel at 9pm every night, with most episodes lasting 60 minutes. Monday's episode will be followed by the first Aftersun.
