The All-Ireland Hurling Championship is one of the highlights of the summer each year.
Thousands attend games around the country during the Munster and Leinster tournaments before teams enter the All-Ireland series.
A hurling match is made up of two halves of 35 minutes each, lasting for a total of 70 minutes. Additional time is added on at the end of each half depending on injuries.
The final of the All-Ireland usually takes place in late August each year.
Kilkenny have won the competition more times than any other county and Brian Cody is by far the most successful manager.
