How long Bolton Wanderers duo Lloyd Isgrove and Shaun Miller are expected to be out injured

Lloyd Isgrove and Shaun Miller are likely to be out injured for a couple of weeks, Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt expects.

Winger Isgrove joined Wanderers last weekend before kick-off against Newport County and went on to make his debut against the Exiles.

Striker Miller is yet to make his League Two bow for Bolton and has not been in the squad since coming off the bench to score against former club Crewe Alexandra in the EFL Trophy.

Both players will be out of this weekend's trip to take on Harrogate Town, though Wanderers have been boosted with the return to fitness of Antoni Sarcevic and could play a part tomorrow.

Evatt believes the duo are a couple of weeks away from being available again and Isgrove in particular requires a mini pre-season regime to get up to fitness, the Wanderers head coach said.

And Evatt believes with signing players who have been released over the summer and not been training with a team of late require a different approach when it comes to bringing them up to speed with how he wants Wanderers to play.

He said: “Shaun was back on the grass this week. It all looked very promising but he had a slight setback yesterday. I would think he’s still another couple of weeks away.

"Lloyd I would think a couple of weeks as well, but that will involve some physical efforts, like a mini boot camp and pre-season.

"Because what you find is because they’ve missed so much time and you’re throwing them into where we train really intensely.

"We demand nothing less, so when you’re coming out of nothing to that, you’re going to break so we have to be a little bit more patient with especially the ones we’re signing that haven’t been attached to clubs.

"Loan players that are in with clubs or players we’re singing from other clubs are fine, they’ve had a pre-season, they can deal with it day-to-day.

"The other lads we’re finding that they’re going to break so we have to be more careful, more cautious and get them up to speed first."

On Sarcevic being back in contention, Evatt added: " I’m over the moon with Sarce this week, I’ve got to say. I made him captain because he’s a leader and he’s a big player for us and having him back this week he seems like he’s got a point to prove.

"He’s playing angry, like most of them this week. It’s been a big lift for everybody to have him back."
