Liverpool fans get creative with Nike kit designs as club wins case against New Balance

Liverpool fans have been getting creative as the club have won their High Court case against New Balance and look set to partner with Nike.

The club's current contract with New Balance is due to expire at the end of the season - and the American firm attempted to extend their partnership by suggesting they could satisfy a clause in their contract which allowed them to "match" any rival offer.

But the judge today dismissed New Balance's case, paving the way for Liverpool to confirm a deal with Nike.

During the trial, it was revealed that the club have already agreed upon designs for next season's strip with Nike - despite the outcome of the trial with current suppliers New Balance still to be decided.

In court documents obtained by the ECHO, it has been revealed that Liverpool have already agreed on a design for next year's shirt with the Oregon-based giants, with plans for the 2021/22 season almost finalised, too.

Nike have also spent close to £6million on fabric for the potential new kit and have received pre-orders from around 8,000 stores.

The company have also reserved factory space for 2.9m units with training designs also agreed upon.

New Balance's contract with the European Champions has been a successful one with manufacturers producing two of the club's biggest selling home shirts.

However, this has not stopped fans imagining what future Liverpool kits could look like under the new terms with Nike.
