How Liverpool and Tottenham could line up in crunch Premier League clash

Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side host Tottenham at Anfield tonight with Jose Mourinho questioning the Reds' injury crisis.

The Premier League champions will be looking to preserve an unbeaten home run that is nearing its four year anniversary.

They will have to do so without several first team stars with Diogo Jota the latest long-term absentee.

But ahead of the contest Mourinho, who has close to a fully fit squad, is not convinced Liverpool's resources are really being tested.

Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez will be sidelined for months leaving Klopp's defensive options tested.

But outside of that the Tottenham boss feels as if the Reds boss has a wealth of talent to pick from.

"Every club has injuries now and again. Liverpool has a big injury, which is Van Dijk," said Mourinho.

"Injuries are normal. James Milner is injured, [Erik] Lamela is injured."

"I think Alisson is not injured. [Trent] Alexander-Arnold is not injured. Matip, I believe that he's going to play. Fabinho is not injured. [Andrew] Robertson is not injured. [Jordan] Henderson is not injured. [Georginio] Wijnaldum is not injured. [Mohamed] Salah is not injured, [Roberto] Firmino is not injured, [Sadio] Mane is not injured.

"Van Dijk is injured and Van Dijk is a very good player of course. But give me Liverpool's list of injuries and compare that list with what is the best Liverpool team."

Klopp looks poised to play Fabinho and Nathaniel Phillips as the back with Joel Matip not able to shake off the injury he sustained at Fulham.

Curtis Jones continues in the usual three-man midfield.

Tottenham meanwhile will continue with their now establish shape and personnel.

Steven Bergwijn will complete the attacking trio in what is expected to be the same XI from the draw at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Predicted Liverpool line-up: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Fabinho, Robertson, Jones, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Salah

Predicted Tottenham line-up: Lloris, Aurier, Dier, Alderweireld, Reguilon, Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Kane, Son
