How Lionel Messi reacted after Liverpool beat Barcelona in Champions League

Liverpool pulled off one of the most remarkable comebacks in the club's history on Tuesday night as they beat Barcelona 4-0 to progress through to the Champions League final 4-3 on aggregate, leaving everyone including Lionel Messi stunned.

The Reds were huge underdogs ahead of the semi-final second leg at Anfield but did the unthinkable as they overturned a 3-0 first-leg deficit to book their place in the Champions League final for the second season in succession.

Divock Origi bagged a first-half goal which gave Liverpool hope before Georginio Wijnaldum came off the bench and scored a quickfire double to level the tie on aggregate.

Origi then netted his second from a clever corner kick by Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool fans are used to amazing comebacks but even they were shocked, while the Barcelona players were left dumbfounded from the Reds' winner onwards and couldn't believe their eyes after the final whistle.

There is also the little matter of the Premier League final day on Sunday too as the Reds look to overhaul a one-point deficit to Manchester City in the final weekend of the league season.
