How Lenovo's Yoga 5G is changing the way we work

The way we work has been changing – especially the location. Working from home has become the norm and is likely to stay that way.

Even so, flexibility should be the watchword. You could be sitting at your desk at home, on your sofa, in the local coffee shop or at the bottom of the garden, weather permitting. Wherever you are, a robust and reliable connectivity is vital to productivity, you need to be able to rely on your laptop.

For that reason, there’s one thing that is a game-changing priority: 5G connectivity on your laptop means you can always be connected, securely and speedily (and needn’t worry if your home wi-fi is slow or serving multiple family members at the same time).

The Lenovo Yoga 5G is the first 5G-connected laptop

The laptop's 5G connectivity enables you to stay in touch with co-workers continually throughout a project – no matter where you are

The new Lenovo Yoga 5G is the world’s first 5G-connected laptop. According to a recent study from Lenovo – Technology and the Evolving World of Work – employees said that this 5G connectivity would be key in improving the experience of working from home, for instance.

Not only is 5G faster than many home broadband networks and up to 70 per cent faster than 4G, it’s often faster than public wi-fi.

Public wi-fi brings other concerns too. Something that came up in the survey as a key concern for users was security, which public wi-fi lacks.

This can be downright risky. If you’re in a coffee shop, escaping the confines of the home office for a morning, for example, you can stick to your 5G connection, with no need for that wi-fi hotspot with uncertain security precautions.

The Yoga battery lasts up to 24 hours

Another reason the Lenovo Yoga 5G is so appealing is its battery life: it lasts up to 24 hours. So, if you're working away from a power socket, the battery will be fine. The 5G connection will also come into its own outdoors.

The Yoga 5G is highly portable, with a bright 13.9in display, soft-touch finish and thin profile. It’s also remarkably light, thanks to its aluminium and magnesium build.

The right tech makes people more productive, which helps maintain a good work-life balance. The Yoga 5G is also extremely versatile with its capability for different physical orientations. Use it as a traditional laptop, as a tablet with the keyboard folded behind, or angled for use with an accessory like a smart stylus, for instance.

The arrival of 5G in a laptop with the Lenovo Yoga 5G means we can work anywhere in or outside our home, productively and securely.

The Lenovo Yoga 5G is available on EE

Lenovo’s Yoga 5G PC is exclusively available via EE, the first operator to launch 5G in the UK, with EE’s enviable service available in 80 cities and large towns across the country.

The Lenovo Yoga is available on contract with EE and pay monthly*.

*Tariffs vary on the amount of data within the contract
