Today's confirmation that the city of Leeds will be placed into the strictest coronavirus tier means that Leeds United fans must continue to wait for their Elland Road return.
The Tier 3 restrictions mean that Leeds are one of ten Premier League clubs unable to readmit supporters until they see an easing of restrictions in their area.
The six London sides, both of the Merseyside teams and south coast sides Brighton and Southampton are all in Tier 2, so will be permitted to allow 2,000 fans into their stadiums when the national lockdown ends next week.
Leeds' trip to Goodison Park this weekend comes before the re-introduction of the Tier system, meaning no fans will be present, but Chelsea now have the green light to allow 2,000 fans into Stamford Bridge on December 5.
Leeds then face a run of five fixtures which are set to be played behind-closed-doors, unless any Tiers change upon the next review, which is scheduled for December 16.
