How Leeds United's transfer activity has changed their Championship promotion odds

Championship clubs continue to prepare for another season jostling for Premier League promotion.

The 2019-20 campaign is nearly here, with a month to go until the latest edition of the Championship gets underway.

Fulham, Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City will be hoping to bounce back into the Premier League, while Derby County, under the management of new boss Phillip Cocu, will be hoping to go one further than last season's Championship play-off final defeat to Aston Villa.

Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion will be hoping for another promotion push after faltering at the play-off semi-final stage last season.

The Whites have already sent out a statement with the signing of Helder Costa on loan from Wolves, while the Baggies will be coached by Slaven Bilic this season.

Bristol City have sent out a message to their rivals, making five signings already this summer, while Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and Stoke City all have men in the dugout to who started last season.

So, how do League sponsors SkyBet rate the promotion chances of the aforementioned teams?

Leeds are favourites to win promotion at 7/4, while Fulham (5/2) and West Brom (10/3) are backed to snap up the three promotion slots afforded to clubs in the second tier.

Cardiff are next fancied, at 7/2, while Stoke (4/1) are a shade ahead of Boro (9/2) in the bookies' list.

Brentford and Huddersfield are outsiders at 5/1, while Derby are even further back at 11/2 with the Robins pencilled in at 6/1.

Forest are 7/1 to go up, with new man Sabri Lamouchi at the helm.
