How Leeds United players have reacted to Eddie Nketiah's departure

Marcelo Bielsa confirmed after Leeds United's 1-1 draw at West Brom that loan striker Eddie Nketiah will be recalled by his parent club Arsenal.

The 20-year-old made his second Championship start for Leeds at The Hawthorns, but was substituted at half-time in what has turned out to be his final appearance in a Whites shirt.

Following the final whistle Nketiah made his way to the travelling fans to say his goodbyes, as Bielsa confirmed his departure during his post-match press conference.

Nketiah would then send a final goodbye on social media as he thanked the Leeds players, staff and fans for their support during his time in West Yorkshire.

"Unfortunately my time @LUFC has come to an end," he tweeted. "It’s been an amazing experience and a privilege to play for such an amazing club. I would like to say a big thank you to my teammates, the coaching staff and the manager for making my time here an enjoyable one.

"Lastly, a big thank you to all the wonderful fans for taking to me so quickly. I wish the club all the best and I’m sure you’ll get to the promised land."

Skipper Liam Cooper also tweeted his best wishes to the England under-21 striker.

"All the best bro! An unbelievable player and an unbelievable lad.. Was a pleasure.. Destined for for big things," he posted, while also paying tribute to his former teammate on Instagram.

"it was a pleasure mate, all the best with everything.. Some player and a great person!," he wrote, with Nketiah replying: "Thanks skip, been a pleasure."

Goalkeeper Kiko Casilla replied to Cooper's post with 'The boss', while Kalvin Phillips also said his goodbyes in a separate post.

"Wishing all the best to my guy @eddienketiah wherever it may be it’s been a pleasure to play with you! EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE!"

Defender Leif Davis also replied to Nketiah's farewell tweet to wish him all the best.

Next up for Leeds is a clash against Nketiah's parent club Arsenal on Monday night.
