How Leeds United fans can relive memorable seven-goal thriller against Liverpool

The Easter holidays are usually a time when there is a feast of football on offer.

Games on both Good Friday and Easter Monday represents a quick turnaround for players.

But for fans, it is a time to enjoy as the season gets ever closer to its conclusion.

Of course, this Easter has been slightly different.

Rather than a feast, it has been a football famine as the coronavirus outbreak has led to an indefinite suspension of all games.

However, Leeds United fans can at least console themselves by revelling in a memorable clash from yesteryear.

Sky Sports are giving Whites supporters an Easter treat by screening the classic clash against Liverpool this afternoon (Sunday).

The Elland Road visit of the Reds took place 20 years ago but still lives in the memory of fans who were present that day.

Mark Viduka famously scored all four Leeds goals in a thrilling 4-3 victory.

Liverpool had led 2-0 and 3-1, but Viduka's prowess in front of goal proved too strong that day as David O'Leary's side sealed a remarkable victory.

It was just one flashpoint in a memorable 2000/01 campaign that saw the Whites finish fourth in the top flight and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

United fans can relive the full 90 minutes on Sky Sports Premier League channel today.

The programme starts at 12pm.
