How I'm A Celeb's dining room looked before being left to rot and hearth got nicked

I'm A Celebrity showed off Gwrych Castle's dining room for the first time during last night's episode, as the boys of camp tucked into a feast.

The room, lit by wall-hanging braziers, boasted exposed stone walls and two suits of armour looming over the hungry campers.

ITV bosses were forced to shift the show away from Australia earlier this year, shifting it to the rural ruins near Abergele in Wales.

And despite still being a sight to behold, the skyline-dominating castle was once even more impressive.

The castle's Instagram account shared a look at how the room used to look, complete with a crisp white lick of paint on the walls and an immaculate fireplace.

"Prior to I'm A Celebrity, the dining room from yesterday's banquet was open to the elements so it's great to see it being used once again," it told.

And relating a bizarre story, the post told of how someone had seen fit to snag the fireplace for themselves, explaining it's absence.

"Unfortunately the fireplace seen in the first photo was stolen in 1990s," the post continued.

"It's a long shot but we would love to get this back one day."

Last night's show saw the male campmates treated to a sit down meal of roast lamb with all the trimmings, plus apple pie and custard.

The ravenous boys wolfed it all down, Jordan North apologising to his mum as he slurped gravy straight from a spoon.

The female celebs, meanwhile, were faced with Bar-Baric, branded the show's most disgusting trial to date.

Fans of the show breathed a sigh of relief ahead of the show as ITV confirmed it was pressing ahead with it despite the lockdown.

The Welsh government gave it the green light, reasoning it's a place of work and the show could help in the ongoing lockdown mental health crisis.

ITV have been sure to make it happen in the most Covid-safe way possible.

*I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight on ITV at 9pm.
